Deerfield Ranch Winery is home to the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom, an endangered plant that resides in the Kenwood Wetlands located on the winery property. The Kenwood Marsh is a productive wetland with a thriving diversity of native species and wildlife.  Every year, the Deerfield Ranch Winery hosts fundraising events to help fund the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society's restoration efforts. We are hosting an online auction for our supporters who are unable to attend these events. If an auction item does not receive the minimum starting bid, it will be auctioned at the Checkerbloom Fundraiser.

About Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society: Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society, a non-profit organization, was established to preserve and maintain the Kenwood Wetlands, home of the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom and protect the endangered species. Deerfield Ranch Winery granted a 14-acre permanent easement to the County of Sonoma to ensure protection of this rare habitat. Only a handful of wetlands in this country back up to a forest. Deerfield Ranch Winery fenced their vineyards separately to provide the wildlife a safe corridor from the pond to the forest.
